Biebs Fever

I’m getting schooled in Beiber-ology by Miss Lily Weller, resident pop song pro.  In order to understand what she is talking about, I’m reading Justin Beiber, His World.

Gripping, must read stuff.  At least if I want to know my daughter💕 and what is important to her!

1000 Things

So many things to be thankful for…all the time in the world to record it.

Yesterday was HOT, as in, I felt like I was melting in the sun at the EA Picnic–and that was at 9:30 in the morning!  But we stayed all morning, the kids happily stuffing themselves full of donuts and other crap, but playing the whole time.  Except for the alumni girls club who sought out shade (smart girls!) and huddled up to giggle and share secrets.

The girls who  came in the afternoons of Lily’s KDG year were there: Bella and Sophie.  It was amazing to see how big they are (well, Bella is like Lily–little) and watch them play together.  By the end of the morning, as we were leaving, all the girls were hanging on one another, protesting our leaving.  So we left promising to set up play dates all summer long.  It will make for a happy, happy Lily!

Now I Lay Me

We played hard today. I the sun with Jack and Emma at the Blueberry Hill playground. Emmy  bumped her mouth and there was a little blood. Lily fell and has scraped knees. Ollie and Liky conquered an enormous hill hike.

Swimming lessons this afternoon.

Is it any wonder that Em announced after dinner, “I’m getting a mimi, getting in my pjs and going to sleep!”

She as out before she got a diaper or pajamas on…she is asleep in her play dress even as I type.

(And maybe the other two will combine soon and join her🙏🏼)

Another Year in the Books

As the kids get older, I forget I am getting older, too. 🙂 So while it is easy to see their change and measure their growth, getting older it seems you are kinda beginning to put one foot in front of the other and not going through the tremendous growth of youth.

Ah-youth.

But it was such a nice birthday full of messages and many, many handmade cards and gifts, the most tremendous cupcakes they couldn’t even be finished, and an afternoon of the DMV and reading an O Mag on the deck, surrounded by flowers.

Now I am off to bed with a resolution to get back on here.  I miss the daily check ins and while the posts might be brief, they are awesome to look back on as the months pile on top of one another.

xoxo!
