I am thankful that 67 years ago Dad was born! And then 20-odd years later he met Mom! And then, because of that magic, other lives were blessed by babies and families and silly adventures and wild rides! πππ

I heard something today. Completely threw me for a loop. But I am thankful for different perspectives and takes on the kids.
At our conference at school, Sherri said that out of all three kids (which she thanked ME for having the privilege of teaching), Emmy was…
The QUIETEST.
Let that sink in.
Em. Quiet. The most quiet.
Wonders never cease.

We went to Fern Hollow today for some fun and learning outside–All about Native Americans. Stories, necklaces, bows and arrows and spear throwing, some campfire popcorn. They kids had fun and smelled like fire until bedtimeπ We all, save for Emmy, made a new friend. Happy kids, happy day.

It was a day full of little bits and pieces that I am so grateful for….
- An early and frosty walk in the sun
- Coffee and real heavy cream
- Writing before littles woke
- Lissa being here to do all the things for me
- An afternoon birthday party
- An afternoon birthday party I escaped
- Early Christmas shopping
- Adventure dinner: Chicken Tikka Masala (worth the amount of time it took to make!)
- Basmati rice–yum!
- Uno with Ollie
- Tired kids who love their new pjs
- Quick and quiet snuggles
- Bad Moms-so funny
- Super Moon in the sky
- A full week that begins soon…

Oh so thankful for good night’s sleep, not so early mornings, frost outside, warm coffee and hearts inside and games, games, games.

I remember Monday–what was I thankful for? Sunshine. Leaves. Raking. Podcasts. Quiet mornings and loud afternoons.

And then…I forgot the very next day. Oh well! I am thankful that Ollie beat the Jurassic World LEGO game because now he is back to not begging for technology. Geez-does it ever suck you in fast!
But I am pretty proud of him–video games are so intuitive to kids. I’m glad they can catch on because I sure can’t. π½βοΈπΊ
